ABOUT JOSH TETZLAFF

Josh Evans Tetzlaff is an artist whose work is centered around the gay gaze and code-switching to blend into a hetero-dominated society using optical illusions to poke fun at the idea of being turned gay. He received his B.F.A. from Austin Peay State University in 2016 and received his M.F.A. from American University in 2023. He was a recipient of the CAS research grant in 2023 and has had 12 solo shows in places such as Clarksville Nashville and Johnson city Tennessee, Spokane Washington, and Syracuse New York as well as D.C.
