Gus and Ben are two assassins for hire waiting for instructions on their next victim in a windowless basement in Harold Pinter’s 1960 breakout hit. The boredom and tension between the two is broken by an inexplicable series of messages arriving from a dumbwaiter demanding plates of food, ranging from the ordinary to Chinese and Greek dishes. The mystery sparks them to questions and paranoia about their situation, their boss, and the lives they live.
